Box Junction Rug > An idea by AMPLIFIER/Florian Kremb
Box junction line markings on London/UK streets are very particular and have always
reminded me of carpets laid out all over town. I think, in the hectic everyday life
on the streets, people do not draw a more poetic meaning from these rather t
han the function they fulfil.
That is why I thought that it would be very beautiful, if on a particular road crossing
in London, carpet fringes would be painted on two sides in a very random, homey way.
It is an idea for a public art project dealing with finding beauty and poetry within t
he everyday and banal that would make people more aware of their perception
of space in a “poetic” way. |
